Summer into Fall Calendar

Saturday, June 14, 10 - 4: Sweet Pea Natural Pet Foods Grand Re-Opening: 869 Sullivan Avenue, South Windsor (860.648.2005). Sweet Pea just finished its BIG remodeling and expansion project. Free samples, giveaways and raffles. The Queenie Foundation's table will feature literature on all our campaigns plus cool fundraising items.

Saturday, June 21, 6 am – 10 pm: Enchantments' Goddess Faire at 349 East Center Street, Manchester. This is a fun event to celebrate the summer solstice; this year’s focus is Celebrating the Family (and animals, too!). Arts and crafts, jewelry, tarot card reading, home made soaps, cool clothes, magikal supplies, food vendors, a DJ plus a whole lot more. The Queenie Foundation will present story time concentrating on kindness to animals at approximately 2 pm. Call Enchantments at 860.791.6033 for more information.

July 19 - October 25, Saturdays, 8:30 am - 1 pm: Visit us at the Manchester Farmers' Market and buy fresh veggies while you're there. What a way to start a vegetarian way of life! Literature and cool animal rights stuff will be available.

Sunday, August 3, 11 am – 2 pm: Dog Days at the Coventry Farmers Market, 2299 South Street, Coventry (the Nathan Hale Homestead, part of CT Landmarks; for details check these links: Coventry Farmers Market and Nathan Hale Homestead) Learn about the dogs of famous Americans and meet and greet pro-animal organizations.

Saturday, September 6, 10 am - 2 pm (rain date Septemer 7): K-9 Kerplunk & Manchester Dog Day Festival at Globe Hollow Swimming Pool, 100 Spring St., Manchester - The Manchester Dog Day Festival is sponsored by Manchester Dog Owners Group and the Manchester Parks and Recreation Department.  It benefits programs designed as recreation for dogs and their human companions.  These programs are a great place for guardians to meet other people with common interests. Saturday/Sunday, December 13 and 14, 11 - 4: Photos with Santa at the Manchester PetsMart, 1520 Pleasant Valley Rd. All companion animals are welcome to have their photo taken with Santa. PetsMart will donate $5 to The Queenie Foundation for every photo taken. Animal issues literature and fundraisers will be available, including raffle tickets for an afghan and quilt made by our VP!
