The following dogs are located at Polk County Animal Control (Winter Haven, FL between Tampa and Orlando). THEY ARE AVAILABLE TO 501 C 3 RESCUES ONLY. We are posting them as a courtesy in the hopes that they will be relocated to organizations that can put them up for adoption through their systems. If you know of a rescue that can take any of these dogs, please pass this information to them.

#452768 listed as a PB X is in extreme danger of not getting out of the shelter alive. Her situation is urgent and should be considered first if you are considering taking any of these dogs.
 
Please contact Lisa directly as we are not in FL and any contact with us could delay and jeopardize these dogs' safety.

The dogs come out of the shelter spayed/neutered, microchipped, rabies, bordatella and Pyrantel vaccinated, heartworm tested with positive or negative result, treated with revolution/frontline and dewormed. Total cost is $25. If this is a problem, Lisa can work with you on the fee.

Polk County Animal Control falls under the sheriff's umbrella and Lisa has been working with him to get Pit Bulls and the bully breeds a better deal. If you can take even one of these dogs, it is worth it. Lisa is willing to do whatever it takes to get these dogs out of there.

	#445080: 2 yr old neutered/vetted Pit Bull - HE IS GORGEOUS- His cost is $25, and I can pay for that if it's a problem! I just want him out of here. He does hold his ears up. He's really a very good looking boy and he's waited, in his kennel since July, very patiently. He gets out twice a day for walks. Can you PLEASE get him into rescue. I am wayyyyyyy past my time limit on him, but yet, he's still here! It's a miracle, but it can't go on forever. HE'S VERY SPECIAL.
	#444579: On hold since July. He was 6 months old then and totally healthy. Now he's getting pink and showing signs of demedex. He is a pit bull mix and a very sweet boy, and really pretty. I will pay for the cost of the treatment if someone will rescue him.  He's absolutely beautiful and I'd just love to see him rescued. He's been so very patient for such a long time, and now it's showing with his signs of stress - the demedex. Can you help me get him out? A rescuer said his treatment would be $60 and take 60 days. I can cover that if necessary, I just want him out of here.

	#453339: This 9 month old female is listed as a pit bull. She is the sweetest thing and rescue is her only hope. Can you come rescue her? You'll have no problem finding her a home! Hate this pic, she's so much cuter.

She is about as sweet and CALM as they come. She has been spayed, completely vetted and is ready to go to rescue today! She is such a doll. I'd hate to see her euthanized after going through surgery and everything.  She has been waiting patiently since July like the rest on my list. This is the last time I can have such a list, and I'm not getting them out like I wanted. I have tried so hard, is there anyone that can help her?

	#447411: This poor girl is listed as a pit mix and considered unadoptable. She was a wonderful mother and none of her puppies survived. She's only 2 years old and such a sweetheart; she showed no aggression at all when you went near her puppies. Can you help her?

Listed as a pit bull, she has her dewclaws, and in fact looks like she has 2 dewclaws on her rear feet, as well. She also has a spot on her chest that is new. A rescuer said it was because of her length of time lying on the concrete. I've been trying to get her out since July! She is a beautiful girl, and her disposition is the greatest.
	#447167: Meet Chauncy, he's 2 years old and completely vetted/neutered, ready to go today! He's gorgeous. He reacts when dogs walk by his cage, but does not react to the dog when they are together out of the cage. He would need someone experienced. He was much calmer months ago, but being in the shelter has started to take its toll. He's been on hold since July. Poor guy, I don't think it's too late for him, but not much longer.....
